B.S.L Ambassadors named
Business Systems Limited (B.S.L) has named the 10 lucky recipients for their Ambassador Programme.
• Mark Masoe of N.U.S.
• Jennifer Coffin of N.U.S.
• Jasper Johnson of U.S.P.
• Ahava Imo of N.U.S.
• Nopele Matafeo of Faleata College
• Salvadios Toleafoa of Samoa College
• Faitauga Ioapo of Leififi College
• Talimiracle Tuvalu of Faleata College
• Faafetai Tinei of Ah Mu Academy
• Hemara Muliaga of St. Marys Savalalo
The awards ceremony was held at the B.S.L shop Taufusi with the new ambassadors and their parents present.
Each recipient received $2,000 worth of credit at the shop, which could go towards any school related purchases including school tuition payments.
Apart from the $2,000 credit, the Ambassadors will get the opportunity to work part time with B.S.L as well as play an ambassadorial role for the business at their schools and communities.
Nixon Mataia, Marketing Manager, said they are excited to be able to help the Ambassadors.
“This is the first time we have done a programme like this and we will see how things go for next year but we are excited about having our 10 new ambassadors,” Mr. Mataia said
“The ambassadors were selected by a panel team and we made sure none of our relatives applied for the scholarship so that only the community would benefit from this”
Mr. Mataia said B.S.L will not be giving out any cash to eliminate the risk of them using the money elsewhere and not for their education.
This is why the money will be kept in credit form for the ambassadors so that B.S.L can monitor how it is spent and they will make sure it is spent wisely.
The ambassador programme is another way in which B.S.L could give back to the community
“The biggest motto in which B.S.L strives for is to help and to give back to the community; we always have to give back to the community,” Mr. Mataia said.
“This is also good for those parents who have trouble with providing educational resources and school fees payments so we can see from the faces of the parents here today that they too are happy.”
