Making the best of transiting through Samoa

There is one reason American Samoa resident Pete Foskitt always looks forward to his business trips to Fiji – transiting through Samoa.

The American, who is originally from New Hampshire, works in Pago Pago and often travels to Fiji for business.

“I visit (Samoa) twice a year because I go to Fiji for work. I was in New Zealand for vacation and in Fiji for week also but for business,” he said.

When he was asked what he looked forward to when in Samoa, he said: “Staying at Tanoa”.

And while he has tried other hotels like the Taumeasina Island Resort, for some reason he still prefers the Tanoa Tusitala Hotel.

“The services here is great, very good,” he said.

While in Samoa he has had the chance to tour Upolu, and visit a number of tourist attractions found on the island.

“There are a lot of beaches and waterfalls I do not see often in American Samoa. Beautiful coast line but not sandy beaches like here,” Pete added.

Visiting the Big Island of Savai’i is next thing on his bucket list and he will do that during his second visit to Samoa later this year.

“I am very excited to visit Savai’i – they say that it is very beautiful – I have not been to Savaii but my landlord will take me to Savai’i. I have tried a couple of times but we’ll make it,” he said.
