Love in the air for Don and Emma

A lifetime of friendship culminated in a commitment in holy matrimony for two U.S.A-based Samoans who exchanged vows in Apia yesterday.

Don Hong and Emma A’aone Schuster tied the knot during an intimate service at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral at Mulivai.

Friends, families and loved ones witnessed the couple exchange their “I dos.” 

Father Kelemete L. Pua’auli, who conducted the service, reminded the gathering that what God brings together let no man separate them.

Emma A’aone is 28-years-old. She is the second daughter of Fata Michael Schuster and Tai Duseigneur’s five children.

She hails from the villages of Falefa and Afega. She is a Marketing Sales Executive in Washington D.C. where she is based.

The groom is the youngest son of Ho Pyo and Aotearoa Hong’s three children.

He is a lawyer by profession working in Washington D.C he hails from the village of Iliili in American Samoa.

According to the bride’s brother, the pair have been sweethearts since 8th grade.

“My sister is a determined, kind, strong and a loving person,” he said.

“She is very focused and once she sets her mind on something.”

The couple, friends, families and guests gathered at Robert Louis Stevenson Museum for the reception last night.
