Church’s business model

Dear Editor,

I object to a letter in your paper yesterday about the church. The gospel is not the problem. The problem is the church’s business model.

If the church can’t change, then I suggest you find another church with a different and a Biblical business model.

One where offering is of free will and where the minister serves the people, not the other way around.

That means if your offering this week is ten cents, then that is all you are able to give, and you should not be made to feel bad about it.

Jesus served the people when he was on earth, not what we do as in the minister sitting pretty and expect to be fed.

Look at how many Church ministers are driving around in golf buggies playing golf at Faleata golf course every Sundays?

Aren’t they meant to be serving the people?

Or do they just turn up in the morning church service to collect the offering then go golfing on Sunday afternoon?

It is a disgusting sight when families are struggling.

Yes the church’s business model is not the gospel of Jesus.
