The long wait for access to a reliable water supply is now over for Michael Tugia from Vailuutai.

He was among 21 people who were recipient of a 2000-litre water tank from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) Charities. The donation was made possible with the help of the Kingdomized Church, which contacted the charity organisation on behalf of the families.

Mr. Tugia, who has three children, live in a small shack with his wife and children and had no access to water for three years. “We will no longer struggle with looking for water because we are able to store water for daily use which is far better compared to the condition which we were in before when we did not have a water tank.

“My family can now shower at home, prepare foods, wash our clothes with the water that will be obtaining from the water tank.

“We used to carry buckets twice a day so we can get some water to survive each day,” he said.

Highlighting the importance of water and how it is important for families, Mr. Tugia said having access to a continuous supply of water was important for the family.

“We feel like a heavy burden has been lifted from our shoulders with this kind donation

“We would like to extend our deepest gratitude towards the LDS Charities for choosing us but most importantly heeding my families plead for help.

“May God shower his blessings upon each and every one of them that generously assisted us,” he added.
