Bus crashes into shop
A bus crashed through the front door of The Body Shop at Saleufi just before 10pm on Friday night.
A taxi driver who was near the scene, Taulamua Hofeni, told the Samoa Observer that the driver was the only one in the bus.
“He was trying to turn the bus at high speed,” he said.
“The bus was heading from the A.B.M. building but the driver lost control and crashed.
“I mean, instead of heading right, he ended up inside the shop.
“Luckily no one was there.”
While Taulamua said he suspected the driver may have been drunk, an attempt to verify his allegation by getting comments from the police, were unsuccessful.
