Phones and wheels kill

Dear Editor

Can the Government stop people from texting and driving?

I am 100% confident that the Government can stop people from texting and driving, but it does not seem to be doing it so.

We keep hearing about fatalities on our roads almost every week, via the media.

Electronic devices hold such power over the drivers that they use them even while driving, causing unnecessarily carnage on our roads.

“Where is the authority?”

While I was on the bus riding to Uni, I noticed that there was only one supervisor L.T.A. on the road but on the other side, there was a teenage driver texting and driving and he managed to escape the L.T.A. officer who was preoccupied with other cars.

The clock is ticking!

The government should urge L.T.A. officials to enforce the law as the government funding for this project.

The life of a human is precious. It’s time for the government and the L.T.A. to enforce law to preserve human lives.

MORE ACTION PLEASE BUT LESS TALKING!
