The Lober and Soliai family recently gathered to celebrate the marriage of Taotasi Archie Soliai and Cherith Lober after years of courting.  

The nuptials were held at the Return to Paradise, in the resort’s newly opened marble wedding chapel. 

Taotasi, who has been single for many years, finally decided to tie the knot with the love of his life Cherit Lober.

The bridegroom, a former member of parliament for the American Samoa Legislature, was the former general manager of G.H.C. Reid & Company Ltd—a position that his wife Cherith now holds. 

Taotasi, who now works for the StarKist Samoa, told the Samoa Observer that Cherith is his match in every way and they are sharing their special day with family, friends and their son Harlem. 

A strong advocate of cancer in the U.S. territory where they reside, Taotasi said he is thankful they tied the knot at the “favorite beach in Lefaga Matautu.” 

He said their relationship is unique and made reference to a scripture passage: “1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 

It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
