Lovely South Pacific paradise

Samoa has been a relaxing and peaceful holiday destination for Louise and Earl Hart from New Zealand.

The couple chose Samoa to escape their busy everyday schedules and the big city life. They arrived last Saturday and leave the islands today.

For them travelling is not only about visiting a country and just relaxing, it is also about the culture of the local people.

“The culture is quite similar to what we know in New Zealand. Sometimes it feels like home, it’s just the weather is way hotter,” they shared with Dear Tourist.

“Normally we are doing a lot in our vacation and are very active. We have been doing some things like going around the island in a car, snorkelling and swimming, but not as much as we intended to do. But it is an absolutely lovely and beautiful place to just relax and enjoy nature, we really like that,” Louise said.

The reason they chose Samoa for their holidays is on one hand, the family and on the other, friends.

They have three daughters and their middle child has been to Samoa twice.

She recommended Samoa to their parents.

Back in New Zealand, the couple works with Samoans so they decided to come visit them in their homeland.

“One of the highlights was definitely climbing up the mountain to see Robert Louis Stevenson’s grave. We did this with our friends from here. The view was absolutely amazing,” Louise said.

It is not their first experience on a Pacific Island. The two have been all around the world and have visited Rarotonga, Fiji and New Caledonia in the Pacific.

They commended the friendliness and the hospitable culture of the local people.

“We feel very welcomed and never had problems with anything. We are really happy to stay here. It is a South Pacific paradise, just lovely,” they said.

They promised to return.
