Couple seal eternal love

A new journey started for young couple Telehuia Mafoa and Pulufana Tutaia last week.

The two traded wedding vows at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Temple, Pesega.

The bride’s parents are Tu’u’u Mano Fagalilo Utaulu Mafoa and Fa’alogo Fitiao Teleuli Leituaso Mafoa

The groom’s parents are Felelei Tutaia and Mamele Tutaia.

Families from New Zealand, Australia gathered to witness the momentous celebration.

According to the bride’s sister Geoffreyna Leituaso Mafoa, the couple met at Mr. Tutaia’s welcome home party, after completing his two-year mission in Samoa.

“We were new to the ward and he noticed my sister immediately,” Geoffreyna said.

The rest, as they say, is history.

“Telehuia received her call to serve in Colorado, Springs two years since they dated and he waited patiently for her,” she said.

Mrs. Tutaia returned home and accepted the wedding proposal.

“I would do anything for Telehuia. Today she is officially a married woman and I am very happy for her.

“She has set a wonderful example for me and my brother and hope she know that we all love them both.

“I wish them all the best on their future endeavors together.”

The couple celebrated their honeymoon in Samoa before they returned to New Zealand.
