Fee increases are normal

Dear Editor,

Re: The govt. broke

Fee increases are a norm in any country and it is required to fund the services offered by government departments and only idiots would not understand that simple development matter.

It is called user pay under Rogernomic in the 80s in New Zealand where horrendous fees went up to fund government services offered to the public.

No idiots back then had the stupidity to say the New Zealand government was broke.

Everyone back then had understood the need to increase these services fees to allow the user to pay for what is required instead of the government to continue the free services.

Immigration applications back then were free, and so as driver’s licences etc…

The people of New Zealand understood the reason the users were required to pay these fees to stop the government from offering these services for free.

User pay and fee increases are there to pass the cost away from the tax payers and only fools will not understand.
