A delegation from Pacific Trade Invest (P.T.I) Australia is in Samoa to check out some of Samoa’s finest exports.

Since they arrived, they have been working with Tupuola Savave Sapolu of the Samoa Chamber of Commerce to facilitate meetings with various businesses.

These include Women in Business who attended Fine Foods Australia last year as part of P.T.I Australia’s Pacific stand.

Other companies include the Samoan Coconut Cluster, Samoa Wild Tumeric, Futino, Natural Foods International Ltd, Fuatino Natural Products, Vaoala Vanilla and fashion designers Janets and Eveni Carruthers Carruthers who attended the Pacific Runway in

So far, the delegation has been excited by what they have seen.

“To tell a buyer about Samoa is one thing, however to allow the buyer to be immersed and to see firsthand how where Samoa’s exports are produced and where the raw materials are sourced is so valuable to create a connection with the country, business and it’s people,” said Mona Mato, Manager Export Services, P.T.I Australia.

With only a week in Samoa, the delegation has a very full meeting schedule and are looking for forward to meeting further businesses to strengthen relationships, understand challenges they facing in the export market and how P.T.I Australia can further support the export success of Samoan businesses.

P.T.I Australia is an agency of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat. They work with export and investment ready Pacific Island business establishing opportunities in international markets with a focus on Australia.
