Hands off God’s anointed

Dear Editor,

I refer to your front-page story titled “Church Ministers outraged by tax laws” on the Sunday Samoan. This is a word of warning to Samoa; be careful when you touch God’s anointed.

One of the pastors is quoted as saying: “.... But if this is from man’s creation, then I just want to remind you that someone (in the Bible) fell, broke their neck and his body parts strewn all over the place…”

Leai ma se isi o kakou ka’ika’i e koe ma’i kaoko, ga’o le pa a gau le ua ma salalau luga le ‘elele.

God’s servants have the power to pronounce a curse and the word they speak in that pronouncement has power. It is a word backed by God. It is God’s word...!!

Stay tuned!
