Dux dedicates achievement to God

The Rhema Bible Training College 2018 Dux, Barbara Fonoti, dedicated her achievement to God during the college’s graduation in Apia on Friday evening.

The 27-year-old from Siusega, who is married to Lagolasi Fonoti, came first in her class of third year ministerial diplomas and took the opportunity outline her plans for the future.

“I thank my parents Fiti and Leata Tanuvasa for their support and especially my dear husband.

“I thank God most importantly for his mercy and Rhema it taught us to develop our strengths and work on my weaknesses to turn it into strengths through spirit.

“To the graduates, strive for excellence be God’s go to people, remember that he is within you and keep fighting and keep winning to accomplish what God has put you on this earth to do,” she said.

Barbara acknowledged the assistance of Pastor Ah Kui and Pastor Keith Moore and added that she will pursue her fourth year next year.

A total of 30 students graduated with first year certificates of completion (class of 2020), 11 received second year certificates of completion (class of 2019), 28 were graduates in the class of 2018 for third-year diploma in ministry, while four were presented advanced ministerial diplomas. Another 13 were recipients of masters degrees in ministerial.

Brother Keith Moore, in a speech to the graduates, urged them to take up the challenge and embrace their calling by the Lord.

“I pray you will all represent the Lord accurately, so that you will all bear great fruits all for the glory of God.

“I pray you will bear fruit that will last throughout eternity but most importantly love the Lord with all your hearts.

“Not forgetting to live by faith and serve the Lord in all the works that you will face,” he said. 

Prime Minister Tuilaepa Dr. Sailele Malielegaoi, who was a guest at the graduation ceremony, told the graduates not to forget the Lord’s divine calling in their lives—to heed the great commission—to go out in the world and preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“To you the graduates, you are a blessing to Samoa, to your countries from whichever part of the Pacific you come from and to the whole world thus without fear to serve the Lord, for he has used you for his work and he dwells in you.

“I congratulate the school in completing their accreditation process with the Samoa Qualification Authority in October this year. 

“The accreditation is now a labeled recognition of the third year diploma as level five of the Samoa Qualifications framework subsequently as part of this accreditation, the faculty of the school took on the challenge of pursuing higher qualifications,” said the P.M. 

Tuilaepa also said that through a partnership with School of Bible theology from Jacinto in the American state of California, 13 ministerial masters degrees were successfully completed and bestowed that night.

Rhema Bible Training College is an inter-denominational, ministry training college designed to train men and women who feel a call on their life to work for God.
