Die-hard American football fans in Samoa celebrated New England Patriots’ stunning Super Bowl victory in Apia yesterday and well into last night.

Tom Brady became the first quarterback to win five titles in history, rallying Patriots to come back from a 25-point deficit to defeat the Atlanta Falcons, 34-28, in the first overtime game in Super Bowl history.

The Super Bowl is without a doubt the greatest American sporting event. It’s a game that stops an entire nation.

Traditionally held on a Sunday, the event is a date on the calendar accompanied by buffalo wings, barbeque on the grill, refreshing drinks and of course great company to watch the game.
