The National Prosecution Office has yet to finalise charges against the driver of the Queen Patsy Bus, which crashed at Tiavi in July, killing a man and injuring more than 50 people.

The matter was adjourned from two weeks ago for the defendant, Faasaomoataeao Tausagi, to find a lawyer.

Yesterday, the defendant appeared before Justice Lesatele Rapi Va’ai.

Muriel Lui appeared on behalf of the N.P.O while lawyer Charlie Va’ai represented Tausagi.

During the proceedings, Ms. Lui asked for another week adjournment for police to finalise the charges against the accused.

Mr Va’ai had no objections, except he wanted yesterday’s adjournment to be the last.

The matter has been adjourned until 3 October 2016.
