Sunrise Restaurant donates
Sunrise Restaurant in Apia donated a cheque of $1,000 and food to the Home of the Elderly at Mapuifagalele.
Company representative, Cheemei Zhu, said the donation is an annual event for the Restaurant to acknowledge the hard work of the sisters running the Home.
“Every year we donate food for them but this is the first time and the first year we have donated money,” she said.
“We donate to them to help the sisters who are looking after our elderly people every day and so this is something to help them out.”
The donation is also part of the restaurant’s 30th birthday.
In thanking Sunrise, Sister Maureen acknowledged the support of the Restaurant.
“We thank you so much for your endless support,” she said.
“May the Lord continue to bless you all and we wish you a prosperous New Year.”
