The pensioners of Samoa have a special place in the heart of the owner and C.E.O. of Samoa Stationary and Books (S.S.A.B.), Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai.

Last week, the Senior Citizens office with the National Provident Fund received office equipment assistance valued at $4,000 from S.A.A.B.

“When the application came and the C.E.O. of N.P.F. mentioned the need specifically for the elderlies to be well looked after when they come to collect their pension, my heart melted and I wanted to help them right away,” said Tofilau Fiti.

The donation consisted of lounge suite, water cooler, first aid kits, glucose and blood pressure monitoring kits.

Tofilau Fiti said they always tried to help government sectors like N.P.F. that are doing a brilliant work to help the elderlies through their pension scheme.

“I’m actually a person who loves the elderly population in Samoa. The need to help the elders comes naturally and just like how we always donate through some of our sub groups here at S.S.A.B. like our all boys ‘get along group’ and our all girls ‘manuia group’ to Mapufagalele.

“I am just happy that it is God’s heart to give and also God has used me to reflect that heart of giving and that same heart has trickled down to my employees at S.S.A.B.,” said Tofilau Fiti.

“We always feel like we need to do our part, our good part in this world to help people who are in need,” she said.

N.P.F. Chief Executive Officer, Pauli Suhren thanked S.S.A.B. for the donation and for always helping the community.
