Their dream of visiting Samoa one day has finally materialised.

New Zealand couple Sam and Daisy are celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary and concluded that Samoa offered the best place to mark their special day.

Sam said they have always dreamt of visiting Samoa and he was ecstatic that he could bring his partner Daisy over to join him in the adventure.

“We’ve known about Samoa for ages and it’s a place that we have always dreamed of visiting and so we are very happy to be here,” he said.

The couple’s temporary home is the Tanoa Tusitala Hotel in Sogi, and they have until Sunday to make the best of their stay.

He said since their arrival from New Zealand, they have been made to feel welcome by the local population.

The Samoa Observer met the couple walking around the town and they said they just wanted to observe and experience

“We just came from the market and we’re just normally checking out the areas, and we got to say that it’s beautiful and we like it,” Sam said.

When the couple was questioned on how the country could improve its tourism sector, they said the love the country the way it is and there is no need for change.

The couple also claimed that it is possible for them to plan for a second visit when they can.
