Aga Reef Resort in Lalomanu, Aleipata, was recognised during the World Boutique Hotel Awards held in London, England, last month.

The Resort was named “Australasia’s Best Relaxation Retreat” chosen from 600 nominees from 80 countries.

Managing Director, Va’atu’itu’i Apete Meredith told the Samoa Observer that the Founders, shareholders, management and team are proud of the achievement.

According to the World Boutique Hotel Awards website, their nominee hotels are evaluated personally by a member of their judging team.

This is to ensure that all winners are capable of transporting their guests into a “novel world through the history of the location, its culture and its own stylistic flair.

“Our Award winner’s service will be intuitive, their environment intimate and the experience priceless.”

Aga Resort is no stranger to winning international awards.

The four-star boutique resort has been receiving Awards for Excellence since it opened for business in April 2013, including an Excellence Award from Samoa Tourism for the Best Guest Service in “meet and greet” transfer service.

“The resort continues to provide an experience of luxury, tranquility and natural beauty. Every year, various popular online travel agents and tourism organisations give out their annual excellence awards in recognition of accommodation partners’ achievements as honoured by guests.

“The rating is usually measured by overall guest review score.

“Aga Reef Resort has consistently received high scores.

“The award is only given to properties that have reached a score of eight or higher, that is not less than 80 percent of responses achieving high levels of satisfaction.

“Aga Reef Resort consistently strives to deliver the best service to our guests.  “These awards are an acknowledgement and endorsement of the hard work by the Aga team at the resort, which includes grounds, housekeeping, security, restaurant and bar, kitchen and office staff,” said Va’atu’itu’i.

Vaatu’itu’i acknowledges God’s guidance and all the supporters of the Resort.

“On behalf of our matriarch, shareholders, management and team at Aga Reef Resort, we say fa’afetai tele to the Government of Samoa, D.B.S. Bank and guests/visitors to Aga for your continued support,” he said.
