Japanese Gaga Heads visit
Japan’s very own popular trio comedian group known as The 3 Gaga Heads are in Samoa this week.
The trio formed this group in 2005 and had named themselves ‘Gaga’ meaning “Happy Guys” in slang.
They are famous for their unique performances of non-verbal funny dances and puppet shows using bodysuits to recreate movie characters accordingly with the movie theme song. For instance, Godzilla and Ethan Hunt from Mission Impossible to name a few.
Ambassador of Japan to Samoa, His Excellency Tuimaugaoalii Kazumasa Shibuta said that having The 3 Gaga Heads visit Samoa, showcase uniqueness of Japan’s form of comedy in which our two nations, Japan and Samoa share amusement and friendship through an expression of its modern comedian performances.
The 3 Gaga Heads have given over 500 performances so far within 17 countries across Asia including the U.S, UK, France, South Africa, Kenya, Benin, Egypt, Tanzania, India and Samoa is the first for the Pacific region.
In addition, they have performed in one of the 3 biggest comedy festivals in the world including Scotland which they were nominated for the Malcolm Hardee Award given the most funky, fresh and unique act of comedy.
The trio group are very excited to be in the country and are looking forward to performing for various public schools.
