The ceremony was well attended by the village and family members; many of them had come from New Zealand, Australia and other countries for the occasion.
Among the new titleholders was Member of Parliament and Associate Minister, Tusa Misi Tupuola. Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi, who also holds the Aiono title, was present as well as Fasito’o-uta’s Member of Parliament, Leaupepe Tole’afoa Fa’afisi.
The traditional blessing of the new titleholders was followed by presentations and gifts for the village and representatives of the district present.
