What is P.M. Tuilaepa up to?

Dear Editor,

Re: H.R.P.P rift emerges

The word around the makeki is that Stui is staying away deliberately to find out who the wannabe’s are in H.R.P.P.

He is sitting in Auckland having a quiet chuckle about the fickleness of people especially those who profess their apparent loyalty to him.

He is well and will be back soon enough to run the government.

Stui is not going to retire or leave politics until he knows that somebody capable will take over running the country.

The question then is this - who amongst this lot has the capacity and skills to run Samoa’s affairs when the P.M. decides to call time?

A number of names have been mentioned as possibilities, including those mentioned in the first letter.

My sources at the makeki don’t agree with the names mentioned so far, even discounting Leala’s name.

One thing is certain - the P.M. has already mapped out his succession plan and it is just a matter of time and opportunity when he will implement this.

This is not the first time nor the last time that members of H.R.P.P will jockey for the leadership position. Advice from an old lady at the makeki is apt - heed the lessons of history and take note of what happened to those who have conspired in the past to be leaders.
