Justice in Samoa

Dear Editor,

Re: Hearing against Mauga

So far all the witnesses have pointed directly at Mauga and said she was at fault – she failed to indicate and didn’t stop at the scene – instead she drove off.

But watch how they are going to turn this around and make everyone else involved in this accident as the ones who are at fault and all the witnesses will be accused as liars.

But think about it!

Who would have more reasons to lie?

It’s very easy to accuse poor, the weak and the sick as liars but it’s very hard to accuse high ranking officials, the high profilers and elite of society as they have the government on their side.

I said this before that this case will be a waste of taxpayers’ money as the outcome is too predictable.

At the end Mauga will be found not guilty and the excuse would be, ‘unreliable witness’ and ‘insufficient evidence’ despite the many physical evidence pointing towards her and the accounts of many eye-witnesses who saw her cause the accident and took off from the scene without stopping.

I’ve mentioned many times before that there is no justice at all here in Samoa.
