After just a few hours in Samoa, Kate and Morgan Bartholomew, have already vowed to return.

The sisters from Auckland, New Zealand spoke to the Dear Tourist team about their first impressions of the island, which is different from other Pacific Islands.

It is their first time to Samoa and has been so far one of their best travel destinations in the region.

The sisters spoke highly of the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere in Samoa, and the beautiful resorts.

They were not aware of how amazing Samoa was until a friend of theirs recommended the island as a holiday destination.

“I have a friend who works for the travel agencies and I asked him, and he recommended Samoa and he said it is definitely the place to go to relax and break from work,” Kate said.

Kate said their friend also recommended the resort for them to stay in, and the tourist sites for them to visit.

She added that Taumeasina Island Resort provided the services that they expected from the first day they had checked in. The sisters described the service provided by the staff of the resort as great and the people made them feel safe and secure.

“Everyone is so friendly. You just walk past anyone and they say hi, how are you every time and it makes you feel really warm and welcomed, makes you feel good because of how people react around you.”

Samoa has offered the sisters what they were searching for away from the busy big city life. From the sunshine, cool sea breeze, white sandy beaches, food, and the people, Samoa has given them an authentic tropical getaway.

“I love enjoying the sun when I’m not active so that’s kind of what why I’m here for because in my normal life I’m pretty active and I’m always doing something so I thought we come here to relax.”

Morgan is in love with the ocean and always dreams of going to places that can give her the opportunity to be near the water.

“I love the ocean and I love swimming, and if there’s any chance to be close to the water that’s good enough for me,” she said.
