A project being run by the Samoa International Cricket Association (S.I.C.A.) has loft goals.

The Healthy Nana Project hopes to encourage the communities, especially the Nanas to teach themselves and their children ways to live healthy and longer. A big focus is about changing lifestyles and getting the community to think about healthy diets.

S.I.C.A. is assisted by various Ministries comprising the Ministry of Women, Community and Social Development (M.W.C.S.D.), Ministry of Health (M.O.H.), Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (M.A.F.), National University of Samoa (N.U.S.) and other partners.

Perelini Mulitalo, S.I.C.A’s Development Manager, is proud of the progress so far.

“We invite them to come and talk or share to Nanas some of the ways, like the M.A.F. officials who know how to do gardening,” she said.

The funding comes from the Pacific Sport Partnership.
