Port Authority goes to Court

The Samoa Port Authority has taken the Aggie Grey’s Beach Resort Samoa Limited to Court over the nonpayment of accrued port charges of $49,877.56.

The litigation was revealed in a statutory demand letter dated August 29, 2018 which was submitted by Komisi Koria who represents the Samoa Port Authority. The said hotel is located in Mulifanua. 

According to the official document the Aggie Grey’s Beach Resort Samoa Limited was asked to pay $49,877.56 within 15 days. 

“Further take notice, that unless the said amount is paid within 15 working days of the date of service of this notice, the Office of Clarke EY Koria Lawyers at the Ground Floor, Poinsettia House, Moto’otua the aforesaid Samoa Ports Authority will petition the Supreme Court at Apia for an order that the Aggie Grey’s Beach Resort Samoa Limited be put into liquidation. 

The matter is now before the Supreme Court with the first mention during civil mention earlier this month
