Members of the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa (C.C.C.S.) at Ululoloa and Si’usega celebrated the completion of two building projects on Friday.

The projects included the new residence for Rev. Kirisimasi Sani and a multipurpose building for the congregation.

The estimated cost of the projects is $375,000.

It took four months for the work to be completed.

The Chairman for C.C.C.S. Ululoloa and Siusega, Matai’a Vensel Margraff, said the projects are part of the development of the church.

What’s more, the church members wanted to bless their Church Minister with a better home.

“The multipurpose building used to be the home of our pastor and it was not in good condition so we came up with the idea that there must be a suitable home for the pastor and his wife,” he said.

“The new multipurpose building will be used for various activities whether it is for Bingo, Sunday feasts or meetings all will be related to the church.

It has been seven years since Rev. Kirisimasi Sani and wife Viola Sani have served the congregation.

Mataia added that the funding was from a loan and church members’ contributions.

“The significance of this work is that we have a safe and secured home for our pastor and also an additional building which will be very useful.

“There are five rooms altogether inside the new home of the pastor with an additional office, kitchen and lounge.”

The congregation is made up of some 200 members.
