Prison escapee Pati Chong Nee is still on the run after his partner in crime Aniseko Vaelei was captured last Friday.

The Samoa Police Service – in a statement released last Friday night – said they concluded based on their preliminary investigation that the assault of the One-on-One supermarket’s operators and the theft of $60,000 cash was done by two unidentified boys of Samoan descent.

They said they were not able to connect the two prison escapees to the crime at the Vailoa shop. However, they confirmed the capture of Aniseko and the recovering of $10,000 cash.

The Police also appealed to the public not to approach Pati Chong Nee if sighted.

“Members of the public are also advised not to approach Pati Chong Nee as he is considered armed and dangerous.”

Pati Chong Nee, 25, is from the villages of Aleisa and Vaitele Fou and was serving time for theft and burglary. Members of the public have been urged to contact any nearby Police stations or the prisons main headquarters and the Ola Toe Fuataina at Tafaigata on telephone numbers 23516, 22208 and 21008.
