This is to deter not only the defendant from future involvement with such illegal narcotics and to send a loud and clear message to others that if you involve yourself with methamphetamine it is likely you will be spending time in either Tafaigata or Vaiaata. 

So watch this space. 

Hopefully the judicial system will get it right and put this person in prison for a very long time. Forget what penalties are imposed in New Zealand as the system is obviously not working for them.

This is Samoa and we need to show our people and the rest of the world that it will not be tolerated here and extreme penalties will be imposed to stamp this problem out.
