All is well that ends well.

And after two weeks of meetings, the 2017 annual conference of the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa (C.C.C.S) at Malua ended yesterday.

The last activity was the selection of leaders to drive the church for the next year.

Reverend Elder Tunumoso Iosia from the Matagaluega of Falealili is the new Chairman.

He replaces pensioner Reverend Elder Tavita Roma.

Rev. Elder Iosia has served the Sapoe, Falealili parish for 28 years.

In accepting the role, he thanked the church for trusting in him.

He acknowledged God’s guidance over his life and his family and said that his prayer is for God’s blessings upon all church members and Samoa.

“I want to thank God for everything especially the church members in Samoa and around the world.

“To Tiaga (Rev. Tautiaga Senara), elders of the church, church members...to our Matagaluega at Falealili thanks for all your support and prayers."

Reverend Elder Tautiaga Senara returns as Deputy Chairman.

He won the vote with 340 votes. Second place was Rev. Palemia Tauili’ili who had 327 votes.

Speaking to the Weekend Observer, Rev. Elder Senara said he is “humbled” to be elected.

“The truth is we can’t do anything without God’s love and faithfulness so the glory returns to Him for his guidance and protection upon each and every one of us,” said.

“We must fully depend on God for without Him we have nothing, but with Him we have everything. It’s all about relying on Him and his Spirit.”
