Stop cursing the team

Dear Editor,

I want to tell that Prime Minister of Samoa that what he said is wrong.

When he said that some of the boys in the Sevens team were not educated properly and comparing them to Africa and British players, if you ask about their educational backgrounds, you’ll find that some of them attend universities.

I feel sorry for the boys in our team with regards to the Chairman’s comment, it certainly hurts from head to feet.

My advice to the Coach is that when you name your team please instead of stating the villages of the players, state their qualifications, whether he’s educated and what educational background he holds.

Certainly some of the players have been to universities.

You pick a rugby player from his technical know how to paly the game. Educational background helps but it’s not a major.

Refer to teams of the past who won the World series and prove my point Win or lose, Samoa is still recognized highly by I.R.B. and other countries.

Win a tournament for Samoa. Make The Chairman happy and ask him to praise your team but not cursing you.

Looking forward for better results in the remaining legs of the series.
