If you have not made plans to welcome the new year on Sunday night, you might want to head on down to the Tanoa Tusitala Hotel.

There, the hotel is hosting Saturday Night Fever to welcome 2017.

At $70 per person, Coordinator and Event Manager, Alex Frost, said everyone is invited.

“Everyone knows what the last day of the year is all about,” he said. “So our new New Year bash is all about saying goodbye to 2016 and welcoming in the new year.

“The theme is Saturday Night Fever back to the 80’s.

“We want to revive this, especially for the older ones out there who feel uncomfortable in night clubs and loud music so we are entertaining those  people of that age group and the young ones are most welcome to come.

Mr. Frost said the first day of the New Year is very important.

“We decided to have this because it is an important event and everyone is celebrating the end of another year and celebrating another new year and hope for the best,” he saisd.

“So it’s like a blessing to say goodbye to the past and welcome your future.

Asked what people should be expecting Mr. Frost said, "nothing, just come as they are".

“It’s a low key function and its come as you are,” he said.

“It’s nothing glamorous and you don’t have to go all out. You don’t have to follow the theme just come and join the fun with the Tanoa Tusitala family.

“The charge will be $70 tala per person which includes drinks and pupu’s on the hour. We also have accommodations prizes which is a weekend for two and it will be drawn on the hour.”
