BETWEEN THE LINES

QUERY FROM FACEBOOK

Why is there an expiration date for data in Samoa?

Internet is already expensive and yet when you buy data, there's a 3/5/7 day expiry date, despite the fact you've already paid for the product.

It's like you pay for fuel and if it's not used within 1 hour, the petrol station will come and suck it out of your car again!

More importantly if you buy food at the restaurant, if not eaten within the hour the restaurant owner(s) will finish it themselves, while you watch?

Or if you use shampoo, they'll pour it outside if not used within 5 days?

You see where this logic is heading?

Doesn't the consumer have the right to use their data when they want to?

Something to think about.

AND STILL ON THAT TOPIC…

If the internet (you know who you are) is going to be disrupted for whatever reason, please let us know how long we will be without it.

Constant calls where we are told “Sorry, no operators are available” are not a help when we are deciding whether to wait around in the hopes it will just be minutes, only to see five hours crawl by.

Being told days later there is going to be a fantastic improvement in the far off future does not make us dance for joy when we are now way behind in the present!

AN OLDIE BUT STILL RELEVANT

Q: What is worse than driving behind a taxi?

A: Driving behind two taxis.

WORK IN PROGRESS

Our new rugby coach is getting a crash course in Pacific Island rugby reality.

Dealing with the fact that players are unavailable for selection for a number of reasons, is just one of them.

And while the players may be muttering about the aching bodies from underused muscles after training with the man, there are obviously still a lot of other areas that need addressing apart from that perennial lack of fitness.
