P.M. in New York for 72nd U.N. General Assembly

Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi has left the country for New York, U.S.A.

He is there for the 72nd United Nations General Assembly from 16 - 23 September 2017.

The theme of the meeting is ‘Focusing on People: Striving for Peace and a Decent Life for All on a Sustainable Planet’.

Prime Minister Tuilaepa is expected to deliver a speech at the meeting where the Pacific has contributed proposals for grants and had attracted the attention of the big countries to support small island nations in their drive against the impacts of climate change on their economies and the environment.

The C.E.O. for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peseta Noumea Simi is accompanying the Prime Minister.
