Kiwi couple, Bob and Nadine Cooper, have been impressed by what Samoa offers.

Part of their adventure as a couple is visiting new places and Samoa is a definite tick on their bucket list of new places to see.

They arrived on Thursday afternoon and their visit is driven by their curiosity of finding out new things about a certain destination.

They’ve travelled to most parts of the world and for Bob, who is originally from England, he chose Samoa because of the serenity that best distinguishes Samoa from most tourist destinations.

Samoa has been a recommended destination for them and they are here for a week.

“It is absolutely beautiful, really nice,” Nadine shared her first impression of the island with Dear Tourist.

“Fiji seemed to be busier and more commercialised so that is what we want to get away from. We live on the countryside of Christchurch and I prefer that from the city life,” Bob explained.

For them visiting and experience a new place is about learning the culture, food and people.

“I think when you come to the islands you do expect a different level of service, I think it is a more real service you get here, more interaction with people, whereas other places we went to it has been more like a business. We had a fantastic welcome. It is a good place,” Nadine said.

Bob added: “The people are really friendly. Everyone has been really talkative probably a bit more than on other islands which is good because it is part of the experience to see what is going on.”

“It has been very impressive on the way from the airport to here.”

They agreed that this will not be their last time to visit the islands.
