Samoa’s beauty and people captivate visitors
There is no better way to spend the New Year’s, than being in the islands for Theresa Stoffberg.
All the way from Auckland, New Zealand, she has been blown away by not only the scenery, but also the kindness that was shown to her by the Samoan people which is why Samoa is the perfect place for her to welcome 2018.
“Samoa is absolutely beautiful, it is just amazingly stunning. There are all different kinds of beauty within this country such as the weather but it does not beat how beautiful the people are and their behavior that has been shown.
“There is nothing to complain about, we are actually enjoying ourselves, which is why we are going to be spending New Year the island style. I am in love with this country,” she said.
For this New Year, she is keen on what the Sheraton Hotel at Mulifanua, where they are staying at, would have in store for them.
The 50-year-old said she was amazed at how the people were very helpful towards her when she was in the store looking for some bottles.
She believes she made an excellent choice coming to Samoa and her friends who were here before are the ones that they came with on this trip.
“This is only our second day in Samoa and I am in love with the country everything here is just so nice. We are only here for a holiday and the New Year with our friends who have been here before and they were the ones that told us to come which was a great idea,” she added.
Theresa is originally from Cape Town, South Africa, but she migrated to New Zealand with her husband 15 years ago.
Just being in Samoa reminded her of her place of birth.
“People in Samoa are extremely free spirited and also a couple of things that reminded us of back home in Cape Town, for example little kids walking around in town selling things.”
She will definitely be back, but this time around she will bring her kids too.
