Justice kicks off year with prayer

The new Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Justice and Courts Administration, Papali’i John Taimalelagi, was officially welcomed yesterday.

The welcome was extended by the Chief Justice, His Honour Patu Tiava’asu’e Falefatu Sapolu during the Ministry’s annual prayer service to kick start the working year, held yesterday. 

The Courts resume its work on Monday 18 January 2016. 

Yesterday, Justices, Judges, lawyers and staff members of M.J.C.A. committed the start of the year in prayer.

The ceremony was attended by the Speaker of Parliament, La’auli Leuatea Polata’ivao and Cabinet Ministers. 

Reverend Rev. Tuanai Uesile conducted the ceremony. 

In delivering the keynote address, Chief Justice Patu acknowledged the hand of God over the past years. 

He then thanked the outgoing C.E.O, Masinalupe Tusipa Masinalupe, for his hard work over the years.

His honour Patu reminded that this is a new year. It’s a time for new beginnings. He encouraged everyone to work diligently and always depend on God for guidance.
