It’s that time of the year again.

Thousands of members of the nation’s biggest denomination, the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa (C.C.C.S) are gathering at Malua for their annual conference.

One of the biggest items on the agenda is the official opening of the multi-million-tala Jubilee Church building scheduled for Thursday this week.

Prior to that, the build up meetings to the main Annual General Meeting starts today with the Women’s conference.

The conference will bring together more than a hundred mothers, wives of elderly deacons, elderly ministers and pensioner mothers to discuss issues pertaining to the development of the church.

At the Malua compound yesterday during the Mother’s Day holiday, there was no time to rest.

Church members were preparing their shelters as well as doing last minute  preparations.

There is no doubt the highlight of the conference will be the opening of the Jubilee Church.

Last year, it was revealed that the project has already cost more than $10million.

The amount was confirmed during the General Assembly.

The project, which started in 2014, was initially estimated to cost $7m.
