The Samoa Rugby Union has announced the appointment of Samoa’s Under 20 Management Team, for this year’s IRB Junior World Championship to take place in Nantes, Vannes and La Roche-sur-Yon France between June 5-23.

Viliamu Punivalu a former Coach for BBE Vaiala Ulalei Rugby Club, has been appointed as Head Coach, Samoa’s Under 19 former Coach for the Oceania FORU Competition Leu Alanu Ulia as Assistant Coach and Andy Ripley maintain his position as Team Manager.

Newly appointed Head Coach, Viliamu Punivalu says “he is very humble with the appointment it’s not that easy to coach a tournament like this, we are now in the planning process which is very critical to our world cup campaign and we will do our very best.”

Based on final standings from the 2012 Championship the draw sees host France to face defending champions South Africa, England and IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy 2012 winners USA in Pool A.
