I’m deeply concerned about the lack of public toilets around the coast and the town area in our country.
I am a Samoan citizen who usually goes around the whole island to do my normal job, as I am a salesman.
For the past 20 years of doing my normal duty, I have noticed that as I go on my delivery around the country, I have not seen one public toilet apart from the airport and wharf.
My concern is not only for people like myself but it is also my concern for the tourists who visit our country. What are you supposed to do in times when you do need to go?
The only toilet that I came across was the airport, which you'd have to pay $5 for parking or the Wharf not far from there. This is a big concern for me and I’m sure many others.
Maybe we could have a toilet every 20 miles or so around the coast? And maybe the pulenu'u can be responsible for the maintenance and hygiene of it?
Also, the town ones I can only name two toilets that is in McDonald’s but I have to buy something before I go, or there is the market place.
Toilets are very important to me and I’m sure they are also to other people.
Please could the government consider my request; as it will benefit everyone.
Let’s make Samoa a better place. Thankyou!
