The ongoing debate on the freedom of religion in Samoa was recently enflamed by Reverend Ma’auga Motu. The Secretary General of the Samoa Council of Churches had stated that among the Muslim community, there were “dangerous people […] who might come and threaten our peace”.

Dear Editor, What a great achievement to see the 2.1MW solar facility opened this week, taking Upolu’s renewable capability closer to the 100% goal by 2017.

Dear Editor, It is said that once an African American went to a church in the US to pay homage to Jesus Christ (Peace be on him) and to worship his Lord. On entering the Church he was immediately met with hostility and abuse due to the colour of his skin.

Dear Editor Re: Church launches Social Welfare and Book Shop At this point Wendy, any form of ‘giving’ by any Church denomination should be viewed as charity. In this case whether this particular denomination is giving to their followers or general public, I still feel that they’re at least acknowledging the issue of poverty in Samoa.
