Stop worrying, start living

We worry too much. Sometimes unnecessarily.

And Agaese Makiasi, 45, of Samusu reckons we have to stop this if we want to live long.

According to him, worrying doesn’t enhance anyone’s lifestyle. It will only kill you if you worry too much.

“Sometimes we have to take a look at ourselves and see whether we are in the right path so that we don’t worry about everything from day to day,” Agaese said.

“This is the problem nowadays, we get ourselves fit but we forget to let go of all the burdens and let God deal with it.”

Agaese believes the root of all these problems is we don’t know how to relax. He also believes we worry too much about what other people think.

“Like, what we look like to the outside world, how we should look and what we should wear, this and that. That’s nonsense.”

According to Agaese, this should be the least of our worries.

“I’m not saying that those things are not important. We have to understand that no matter what do, we have to remember we have to let go of worry.”

“Because worry kills everything in our journey.”

“When we worry, then we lose faith, and when we lose ourselves then we die without enjoying the environment and the gift of life that we have been given by God to enjoy.”

He also encouraged everyone to persevere.

“That’s why we have to know our role and our calling on this earth, to cast everything to the Man Above for He’ll provide everything for us from day to day.”

“Yes, we can see ourselves in the mirror whether we are losing weight or not, or whether we still look young and sexy.”

“But no one sees what burden you are carrying.”

“The thing is, we have to stay strong, when we know that there’s that Living God in Heaven, then everything will fall into place.”

We must also stop comparing ourselves to others, he said.

“I think that’s the other reason why worry is killing us, because we are not doing it for ourselves and the glory of God but for others.”

“To think, she and he can do that, oh she’s rich, oh she got that one....and that is a real burden to us and the world that we are living in.”

“But if we fully understand, that there’s always that Living God in Heaven that do the impossible then we will have peace in mind.

“Remember, worry ends when faith begins. Just cast all our burdens to God for He cares for you and me!”
