A construction management agreement was signed earlier this month between the High Commissioner of Samoa, Hinauri Petana, on behalf of the Government of Samoa and Mark Bauer, representing Manteena Pty Ltd.

This followed the awarding of the contract by the government to Manteena, who met all of the tender requirements as well as having the most competitive bid from four Australian construction companies that expressed interest.

This contract is the construction of a new Chancery and residence for the Samoa Mission in Australia since its establishment in 1990. Mobilisation started immediately on July 11 and it is expected that construction will be completed by mid 2017.

The Project is being managed by Cox Architecture Pty, who also designed both buildings in close association with the Samoa High Commission.
