Best pathway for S.R.O.S.

Re: S.R.O.S could be privatised

The best pathway would be to commercialize to a point.

The reality of the situation with projects that S.R.O.S is involved in is that they are “greenfield” projects and are extremely risky to participate in.

With the private sector, due to the financial risks involved in these projects there is very little room for error and with greenfield projects there are unknowns everywhere and unknowns to businesses with limited funds and resources are back breakers.

S.R.O.S on the other hand has the benefit of government support for their budget as well as aid funding.

This is the major reason they have the potential to successfully develop industry, but I would suggest, only to a point. Ideally teams of experts can be sourced both locally and internationally to pilot commercial projects.

Once they have demonstrated commercial viability, sell the operation off to the highest bidder and move on to the next project.

In this way SROS becomes a business incubator, hatching and rearing projects to the point where they can stand on their own feet and then offloading once proof of concept is complete.
