Yesterday was a groundbreaking ceremony for a new C.C.C.S. church at Nu’u Fou.

The church at Nu’u was established in December 2012 by residents who live in the new subdivision nearby.

Yuhan Construction has been awarded the contract to construct the church building at a cost of $480,000

It is expected to be completed in five months.

Reverend Letaulau Pesaleli and his wife, who formerly served the church as missionaries were officially called to serve  the congregation in November 2013.

In the opening prayer of the groundbreaking ceremony yesterday, Reverend Pesaleli encouraged members to stay strong in the Lord.

“We gather here today to witness the beginning of the work for the Almighty God. Let Him guide us all the way as we head do this work,

“May His Spirit be with us always as we bless this land for His temple.”

The service was well attended by members of the congregation as well as officials from the Yuhan Construction company.

Today the construction work on the new church building starts at Nu’u Fou.
