Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. 

And the only way to do great work is to love what you do

This is a statement Ieremia Fareni, 23, of Malie, subscribes to. 

He was spotted by the Village Voice yesterday while he was working at his plantation.

He spends days at his plantation working up a sweat to take care of his family. 

“There’s nothing too hard for us. If you don’t work hard then you won’t move forward with life,” he tells the Village Voice.

 “As you can see, this is what I’ve been doing and I enjoy it, because I do it for my family. As long as we have enough to go by each day, I’m happy.

 “You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. To be honest not everything in this world is about money; don’t make money your goal. 

“Instead pursue the things you love doing and then do them so well.”

He went on to say he’s been doing pretty well with his plantation.

“I deliver my crops to a few supermarkets and they pay me well too. It’s a really good business and I enjoy it.  

“Aside from the crops I also plant peanuts, which earns a lot. With peanut products, we go through some processes before selling them, but that’s not hard work because I’m used to it. 

But there are always challenges. 

The main issue for Ieremia is that most families are doing the same development to earn money.  

“The sad thing about businesses like this is that when I sell to the supermarkets, they sometimes can’t sell them all to the customers,” he said. 

“Most the families are doing the same thing and the competition is pretty serious, but I guess that’s what it is nowadays. Everyone is trying to make end meets where they try so hard through plantations. 

“But just don’t give up trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I don’t think you can go wrong.”
