A family from Australia chose Samoa as their destination for the Festive Season.

Sue Senger from Melbourne is spending the Christmas season in Samoa with her family and friends.

“Celebrating Christmas this year is a lot different because I get to see how island people celebrate Christmas with their own families,” Sue told Dear Tourist.

Sue is a frequent traveller.

She has been to other countries such as Europe, Iceland, the United States of America, United Kingdom, Hungary and Russia and many more.

And her choice of Samoa as the next place to visit was all thanks to Google.

“We haven’t been here before we just thought it is something different,” she said.

“The Samoan people are very friendly and I have had a good time.

“What I have found out and loved the most are the people. Yesterday we drove around Upolu and it’s fascinating how people just wave at you, they are just very friendly.

“I have been to other countries of the world, but I have never come across people who are so friendly and the hospitality is impressive.”

Ms. Senger has also grown to love the local food.

However, she says Samoa is very hot.

“I don’t usually like the heat, but I am coping alright because we have air conditioned rooms.”

Ms. Senger adds they have stopped at some waterfalls and they are planning to visit the Robert Louis Stevenson’s Museum.

They also plan to travel to Savai’i.

“I’ll be leaving Samoa next Wednesday,” she said.

“I will recommend to other people of my family and my children to come to Samoa for vacation because it is the best place to relax.”
