The work of public servants was recognised and acknowledged this morning in front of the government building.
A half-day has been declared for the public service as part the recognition of their work and contribution to the development of Samoa.
The day’s celebration started with a parade on beach road attended by hundreds of public servants from different government bodies.
The theme for this year’s commemoration is “Celebrating the Public Service of Samoa.”
Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi, congratulated the public service. He said the Day is to ‘honour, reflect, celebrate, learn and inspire.’
