Three more days to go then the Siva Afi will start its 15th Annual International Siva Afi Competition. The programme will run for three days from the 1st of September till the 3rd of the same month. According to the organiser of the programme Clare Leota the competition will start with the Seniors Preliminaries.

“The second day it will be an interesting night because it is for the Juniors and Seniors Routines.  This year there are a lot of juniors so it will be an exciting time for both participants and the audience,” she said.

“Saturday night will be the final and already we have a judge Malo Seleni who has travelled from Honolulu, Hawaii to judge the competition together with the local judges.

“Mr. Seleni was one of the pioneers of the fire dancing in the United States together with Olo Letuli. “He has been coming here to judge the competition for some time now so it’s good that we have someone with all that experience.”
